What brought you to Siloam? Tim and Jill heard about Siloam through several colleagues at Vanderbilt shortly after moving to Nashville.

What keeps you coming back? Will says he comes back because of his parents. Ellen thinks Siloam is fun. “I enjoy seeing people from different cultures.” In Jill’s words, “there are so many things that keep us coming back. It is truly a blessing to just be able to volunteer in such a loving, peaceful and supportive environment. I am so thankful for the many resources that Siloam provides, as it allows the medical care given to truly make a difference. The fellow volunteers tend to push me a bit to live out my faith in more tangible ways. Every night we are there, God provides just what we need to get the work done and care for the patients.”

Tim agrees with Jill. “I think that Siloam is an opportunity to use the gifts God has given us to share the love of Christ with the needy in our community, in a unique setting that allows ministering to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the people He brings through the door. The fellowship among staff, volunteers and students is a ministry to everyone involved, and a joy for our family to be able to share in.”
