AMPLIFY NASHVILLE HONOREES

Originally from Beijing, China, Li Weaver is an immigrant and businesswoman whose passion for cross-cultural economic development and advocacy for Asian Americans has been making a mark on the Nashville community for more than two decades.

As co-founder and managing partner for J C Business Group, Li implements international business strategies for multinational companies operating in the Pacific Rim. Additionally, Li served as Director of China Business Development for the state of Tennessee from 2007 to 2021 under three different governors.

Li’s extensive experience and insights into both Western and Asian business practices, organizational culture, and communication styles have empowered her to assist numerous companies with establishing operations and business partnerships in both Asia and North America. These partnerships have enriched the community and culture of Middle Tennessee and led to the creation of thousands of jobs for local residents.

Li is a founding board member of the Tennessee Chinese American Alliance, an advocacy group that promotes Asian culture and education across the state and served as the President and Board Chair of the Greater Nashville Chinese Association for five years.

With a keen understanding of the human elements of business, the common ties that bind us together, and the value of cultural differences that enrich our lives, Li has proven to be a change-maker who is right in the middle of creating the diverse, beautiful Nashville that we call home – a true Community Catalyst.
