FABIAN BEDNE
2017 GOOD NEIGHBOR
A native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Fabian Bedne is Nashville’s first Latino Metro Council member, a position he has proudly held for over six years.
An architect by trade, Fabian earned a degree in architecture and urban planning from the University in Buenos Aires in 1983, and came to the United States in the early 1990s as part of a vocational exchange program, during which time he was responsible for planning the revitalization of inner-city neighborhoods in Columbus, Ohio. Fabian moved to Nashville in 1997 and has spent the last 20 years investing in the architectural, political and cultural landscape of the city. He is a founding member of Nashville-based firm Organicus Design LLC and currently serves as the Associate Director of the Hispanic Family Foundation.
It is through his combined passions for architecture and social justice that Fabian has become an ardent proponent of affordable housing, neighborhood development, and increased access to education, serving with a number of Nashville organizations and committees to build a better Nashville for all who call our city home.
